Funeral services for Jessica L. Larche, 13, of the Moreland Road, will begin with a prayer service on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the FoxMcLellan Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. F. James Shurtleff, pastor, as celebrant. Rev. Deacon Mark Lalonde, her uncle and godfather, will assist.
Burial will follow at Foxwood Memorial Park, Ogdensburg.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fox-McLellan Funeral Home in Ogdensburg.
Jessica died on Friday (June 1, 2001) at University Hospital in Syracuse, from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident on the Moreland Road Thursday.
She is survived by her parents, Edward "Ed" and Michele Larche; a brother, Nicholas Larche at home; her maternal grandmother, Virginia Lalonde of Ogdensburg; paternal grandmother, Rita Marie Larche of Dannemora; several aunts and uncles, Michael Lalonde, Deacon and Mrs. Mark Lalonde, all of Ogdensburg, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lalonde of Rochester, Marie Barilla of Plattsburgh, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Guiney of Tupper Lake, Mr. and Mrs. James Larche of Dexter, Mr. and Mrs. John Larche of Plattsburgh, Paul Larche of Cadyville, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Larche of Dannemora; and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandfathers, Richard D. Larche and Kenneth "Jack" Lalonde.
She was born on May 17, 1988 in Ogdensburg. She attended kindergarten and first grades at Heuvelton Central School.
She spent second, third, and fourth grade at St. Marguerite D'Youville Academy (OCCS), returning to Heuvelton in fifth grade.' She was presently a seventh grade student.
She was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, was a member of the Modified Track Team at Ogdensburg Free Academy in hurdles.
She enjoyed the outdoors, animals and doing crafts. She played basketball at St. Marguerite D'Youville Academy in fourth and fifth grades.
Memorial contributions can be made to a scholarship fund at Heuvelton Central School to be established in her name, or the Heritage Fund at Notre Dame Church in Ogdensburg.
